GiGi's and Roberts Wesleyan Co-hosting First Local Inclusive Higher Ed College Fair November 18th for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Rochester, NY — GiGi's Playhouse and Roberts Wesleyan Collage will co-host Rochester’s first ever Inclusive Higher Ed College Fair for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

"We are so pleased to host this fair and to provide an opportunity for students with IDD who are considering post-secondary options to learn more about the many programs that local colleges offer," said GiGi's Playhouse Rochester President, Jennifer Bustamante.

"In our efforts to continue to promote inclusive higher ed, we want to offer students with IDD the same opportunity that their peers have to attend a college fair and gather information about what is possible for their future," said Kimberley Wiedefeld, a GiGi's Playhouse volunteer, parent of a student with IDD and Vice President of Enrollment Management at Roberts Wesleyan College.

The Fair will be held Monday, November 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gigi’s Playhouse, 372 N. Goodman St. in Rochester. There is no charge to attend and no advance registration is required.

Representatives from more than five inclusive higher ed schools offering programs for students with IDD will be in attendance including Roberts Wesleyan College, Keuka College, Monroe Community College, Nazareth College, and University of Rochester.
