AcuteKids Pediatric Urgent Care Will Administer COVID-19 Vaccinations at First Pop-up Clinic for Teenagers in Monroe County on Friday
Rochester, NY—April 8, 2021—AcuteKids Pediatric Urgent Care in Webster, NY will provide 75 COVID-19 vaccinations to high school seniors in the Webster school district this Friday. AcuteKids is the first private practice in the Rochester region to hold a pop-up clinic providing COVID-19 vaccines exclusively to teenagers.
All vaccination slots for the initial supply have been filled and booked in advance by the students' parents. Both the Pfizer and Moderna COVID‑19 vaccines are being administered. The pop-up clinic is only open to those with advance appointments.
"The highest percentage of new COVID cases are being seen in young people so we are pleased to be able to help reduce outbreaks and get kids back to a more normal school year by stepping up to administer vaccinations," said Chrysa Charno, Founder and CEO of AcuteKids Pediatric Urgent Care. "Urgent care is about high-volume efficiency. We expect to get additional vaccine supplies in the coming weeks and will be able to vaccinate more young people."
Last week, AcuteKids helped administer COVID-19 vaccinations at a pop-up clinic in downtown Rochester, in partnership with the Department of Health and the Center for Disability Rights.
Media coverage is welcome. Masks and social distancing are required. Interviews will be available with Chrysa Charno, AcuteKids founder and CEO. To arrange interviews and coverage contact Amanda Antinore at (585) 729-7533.
